Agustín Ferrando was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, in 1981. He is a multiple award winning filmmaker, broadcaster and visual story teller.
At the early age of 12 Agustin bought his first video camera with earnings from an acting role and since that date, his hobby and work have been one and the same: making videos. He has made shows, documentaries, experimental pieces and music videos for cinema, television and the internet.
Internationally, his most well known work has been “Otra Semana en Cartoon” (Another week on Cartoon), the TV show running for six seasons in Cartoon Network. It’s been broadcasted, and translated, all over the world from 2015 to 2021, and now it is successfully playing on HBO Max platform. The show won varios awards, such us the Clio Entertainment Silver award and the PromaxBDA award, and accumulated more than 400 MILLION views in YouTube alone.
With regards to music, he is most known by his trademark mashup pieces, that mix audio and video from dissimilar genres, such as Pop and local Cumbia. They have been broadcasted for years on MTV, VH1 and have been an internet hit.
Agustin is also the creator behind the cult show Tiranos Temblad, a YouTube hit that has been running for 10 years, generating more than 12 million views, 1,4 million watch hours and 165,287 subscribers.
He has also made a feature film, Normalmente Anormal, which documents La Vela Puerca's history and has gain him the Graffiti award for best DVD and a Multi-Platinum award for its sales in Argentina and Uruguay.
Asi nos pasamos nosotros, one of his first documentary pieces has won him the third place in the prestigious 52º National Exhibition of Visual Arts.
Agustin is currently developing a new video series, called Analysing humans, based on his travels and observations of the human kind and the environment
